Google AdSense recently announced that Google AdSense is making some changes to the way you monetize new sites with AdSense. From November, Google AdSense start automatically migrating accounts to the new site management experience. Google AdSense will be rolling out these changes in stages, so you might not see them in your account yet.

What's changing


New Sites page
Google AdSense renaming the My sites page to Sites and are moving it further up the menu to make it easier to find. Any existing sites you're monetizing should automatically appear in the sites list on your new Sites page when your account is migrated. If you notice a site hasn't been migrated, you can easily add it to your sites list.

Monetizing new sites
To show ads on a new site, you now have to add the site to your AdSense account. Each new site will go through a verification process which checks that you own the domain or have the ability to modify its content. The process also reviews your site for compliance with the AdSense Program policies. After the checks are completed, your site will be marked as "Ready" and you can start showing ads. 

Suggested sites
If Google AdSense detect your ad code on a new site that's not yet in your sites list, Google AdSense will ask you whether it's yours. If the site does belong to you, you can click Yes and Google AdSense add it to your sites list.  

Simpler site authorization
If you previously used the site authorization feature, this is now turned on by default. This means that the sites listed on your new Sites page are the only sites that are permitted to use your ad code. If a site displaying your ad code is not on your list of sites, then no ads will show on that site.

Whether you refer to it as the whizz palace, the loo or the throne room, it's a simple fact that humans must spend time visiting the toilet every day of our lives. All that time spent on the pot adds up over the years, and to make life a little more comfy, toilet paper maker Charmin has come up with a range of tech-based bathroom solutions.

If you've ever been stranded on a toilet bowl without toilet paper, you know what an unfortunate situation that is. 
Charmin just revealed a robot that intends to solve the age-old issue: The RollBot "delivers a fresh roll of Charmin to you so you won't have to be left in a bind ever again."

The RollBot is part of a trio of "conceptual prototypes" that Charmin will unveil at this year's consumer technology conference CES in Las Vegas.
It's not clear how the bear-faced robot, which has no arms, hands or thumbs, is able to wrangle a fresh roll out from the cupboard under the stairs and open the locked toilet door to bring the roll right to you, but they're presumably problems for CES 2021 and beyond.

The Rollbot is one of the more niche robots we're likely to see this year at CES on our quest to discover the latest and greatest products, but it does play into one of the show's big 2020 trends -- the increased focus on how technology can benefit our health and well-being.

The Rollbot was accompanied on stage at the show by SmellSense, a sensor that will let you know before you enter a bathroom whether you are likely to gag or keel over from asphyxiation due to the activities of the previous occupant. SmellSense will give you a "no" or a "good to go" based on how much carbon dioxide or hydrogen sulfide it detects in the air.

The two gadgets are joined by the AR V.I.Pee as part of Charmin's GoLab vision for the future of bathroom visits. This superior port-a-potty is equipped with an Oculus Rift S VR headset to show you what's going on at the event you might be attending while you're in the bathroom. It's designed to give you a front-row seat to a concert during your pee break so you don't get FOMO, which if it's better than your actual seat might make it hard to leave.

GoLab isn't designed to go on sale within this coming year; instead these concept products are demonstrating how toilet-going could be disrupted in the future -- and we mean that purely in a tech sense, because being interrupted on the can is fun for no one.

Diesel Full Guard 2.5- Nice to wear!
The one strength Google’s Wear OS has over its competition is choice. You can find just about any hardware you want from the Wear OS ecosystem, and the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 is a great example of that. Here’s why.

HARDWARE 
An industrial design that doesn’t apologize
The strength of the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 is, without a doubt, its design. Coming from a fashion brand known for outspoken designs, this watch is big and bulky and doesn’t apologize for its size. The 47mm case is bigger than most other smartwatches out today, but at 13mm thick it’s also not totally unwieldy.

It’s an industrial look with lots of machined details. Personally, I love it, but it’s really not going to be for everyone. This is a watch for traditional watch fans, not those who want a computer on their wrist.

I’ve also got to say, the choices Diesel has made when it comes to color are just top notch. I simply adore the black and red model with the accent color bleeding through from the sides to the buttons. That same design is also available in blue and black variants as well.

There are three buttons along the right side of the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5. The center button is the normal multi-purpose app drawer and back button, and it also rotates for easier navigation. The top and bottom buttons default to Diesel’s watchface effects and Google Fit respectively. All three buttons have a fairly tactile feel to them.

As for the display, there’s a 1.39-inch OLED panel. It’s sharp and bright just like most Fossil Group watches, and touch response is as good as you’d expect. There’s also NFC under the hood for Google Pay.

Silicone bands have strengths and weaknesses
This black/red variant of the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 ships with a 22mm silicone band. It’s much thicker than most silicone bands, but it’s very comfortable and suits the watch’s design well.

My complaint about this band, though, is that it picks up dust incredibly quickly, and it’s not easy to get off. I’m not sure what about this band makes it pick up dust so much easier than others, but it’s pretty annoying. The watch packs 5ATM water and dust resistance, though, so taking a second to wash it off shouldn’t be a problem.

Fitness tracking for the casual user, not the junkie
Let’s be honest, when it comes to fitness tracking, most people just want a general idea of their steps and heart rate. For that purpose, the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 will suit your needs. There’s a heart rate sensor around back that works just fine, and the assorted sensors inside track your steps and workouts with relative accuracy.

Unless you need crazy accuracy, this watch will handle your fitness needs well, and Google Fit is also more than up to the task there. If you want a proper fitness tracker, maybe don’t look into fashion watches, though.

SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE 
Wear OS still can’t thrive
As far as specs go, the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 is pretty much the same as any other current Wear OS watch. There’s a Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset and 512mb of RAM, and that’s still a package that struggles to keep up.

For notifications and watchfaces, this package is fine, and that’s sort of the point of Wear OS nowadays. Wear OS in its current is better suited to adding smart features to a fashionable watch, not so much a computer mounted to your wrist. That’ll remain the case until Google finally makes a push to include a chipset that isn’t 4 years old on this platform.

Outside of the usual though, Diesel’s watch seems to suffer just a bit extra in one particular case. When waking up from sleep mode, this watch takes several seconds at times to fully load up. Presumably, this is due to some of the company’s own additions.

Diesel adds some snark to Wear OS
On top of Wear OS, Diesel has included its own watchfaces. There are several different options, some of which interact to your touch. They all look distinctly Diesel, and I very much enjoyed them.

Using a second app, Diesel also applies some special effects to its watchfaces. There are Weather, Activity and Do Not Disturb modes. The effects are most obvious with the Weather Mode, which puts different animations over the watchface depending on the weather in your area. I did notice that when this was turned on, it caused the watchface to load up quite a bit quicker.

My favorite addition, however, is the Diesel T-ON-I app. The notification app that give you notifications “the Diesel way” has a unique UI and some fun additions throughout. It pulls in your weather, agenda, and activity data to send snarky messages throughout the day.

Often, these relate to the weather, but sometimes you’ll get a message shaming you for a lack of activity or just the watch makes jokes, usually at your expense. Personally, I find it absolutely hysterical and love seeing them pop up a few times each day. A few messages it has sent me are listed below.

Rain. Or as I like to see it, showering made easy.

Get yourself someone who looks at you the way your mate looks at me. #RelationshipGoals

Cloudy. Just like your judgement every Friday night.

The heart wants what the heart wants. Like pizza, for example.

Just so you know, yawning also burns calories.

When life gives you lemons, just dip them into vodka.

Some friendships are timeless. Trust me, I’m also a watch

I’ve got to give Diesel credit where it’s due. The T-ON-I app made using this watch a pleasure, and it makes me smile often enough to where I’ll keep using this watch well after this review goes up.

BATTERY LIFE 
This is Wear OS, so mediocre battery life really shouldn’t come as a shock. More or less, the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 lasts about a day, but since there’s so much room here, there’s a hefty battery too. The 370mAh battery inside typically lasts me through a day comfortably, and it’ll survive into the next morning if you forget to charge it. Two days is unlikely, though.


FINAL THOUGHTS 
Only a matter of finding the right customer
It’s hard to recommend a Wear OS watch when you’re talking about a proper smartwatch. Sure, it delivers notifications and basic fitness tracking fairly well, but beyond that, you’ll want to use a Galaxy Watch or Apple Watch.

The Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 is a watch you should buy for its looks. You won’t find this on any other smartwatch on the market, and as someone who used to wear designs like this all the time, it’s something I’ve appreciated having on my wrist. At a starting price of $325, I think Diesel is asking a reasonable price to the right customer.

Microsoft Surface Duo - How is it?

Microsoft presents the new generation-



Microsoft took everyone by surprise last October when it announced the Surface Duo: a dual-screen device that runs Android. While the Surface Duo certainly resembles a phone in its folded state and can achieve all smartphone-like tasks such as making call and sending text messages, Microsoft does not want to label it a “phone.”

It’s the Redmond-based software giant’s version of a foldable, only that it’s not a traditional foldable if you compare it to devices like the Galaxy Fold or even the Galaxy Z Flip. It indeed folds in the center, but does so using a hinge that holds its two very separate screens together (rather than having a foldable screen).

It’s been a while since we heard something official from Microsoft about the Surface Duo, but of late, we’ve ourselves received some insider info about its release window. We’ve also recently come across some leaked specs for the Android hybrid, including information about its chipset, battery, and camera. In this rumor hub, we’ll detail all that we know about the Surface Duo until now. Take a look.
The design of the Surface Duo is no mystery. Microsoft showed us pretty much the entire device back in October. The hardware itself is very reminiscent of Surface devices like the laptops and the tablets. It’s got that strong Microsoft aesthetic with clean lines and that familiar four-square Microsoft logo front and center.
Elsewhere, two individual screens fold shut inwards like a small book. A 360-degree hinge mechanisms joins the two 5.6-inch displays together, allowing the device to be folded in various states like most 2-in-1 laptops out there. When folded out, the overall device measures 8.3-inches horizontally. The Surface Duo is also a slim device, measuring just 4.8mm thin.

There’s a camera on the top bezel of the right-side display, next to a speaker grille. However, when the device was spotted in someone’s hands, a flash was also seen accompanying the single camera. You can see that image below.
Microsoft says the Surface Duo will fit inside your pocket, but from what we can see, that might not be possible because it’s too wide.
Microsoft has done a pretty decent job of keeping the specs of the Surface Duo under wraps. When it first showed off the device at its Surface event, it was running a Snapdragon 855 processor. Thanks to information sourced by Windows Central, we now hear that Microsoft will stick to the older generation Snapdragon flagship for the final Surface Duo release.

The outlet reports that the specs of the Surface Duo are pretty much cemented and that it’s in a “take-home” status at Microsoft internally. This means that company employees from outside the Surface division can request to test the device, so we presume its specs won’t change now.

According to Window Central, the Surface Duo will ship with 6GB RAM and 64GB or 256GB storage. There’s no 128GB middle ground here and even if there is, the report fails to mention it.

The camera above the right display is said to be an 11MP sensor, for both front and rear facing photos. That’s likely because the displays can be rotated around for front and rear photos. The two 5.6-inch screens reportedly have AMOLED panels with a pixel density of 401 pixel per inch.

Sadly, the battery size is reportedly capped at 3,460mAh which might not nearly be enough to support two displays and all the multitasking you’re expected to do on the device. Also, there won’t be any wireless charging as per Windows Central.

In terms of connectivity, the Surface Duo is said to feature a single USB-C port and a nanoSIM slot. It’ll also be compatible with a Surface Pen.

On the software front, the Surface Duo is expected to run Android 10 at launch, and later get an upgrade to Android 11. The device is also expected to get the redesigned Microsoft Launcher, which comes with new rotation modes, a new dock, and other UI tweaks.

The biggest asteroid of the year passed safely by Earth?

According to data from NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies (CEOS) the asteroid known as 1998 OR2 is the largest to make a close approach to Earth in the last year. It measured somewhere between 1.1 and 2.5 miles in diameter and rotates once every 4.1 hours.

This event happened on Wednesday 29 April at 5:56 a.m. ET and the asteroid made it to minuscule distance of around 3.9 million miles from our planet, roughly 16 times the average distance between the Earth and the Moon. The traveling speed was 19,461 miles per hour.

This space rock was first spotted in 1998 by scientists from NASA based at Hawaii’s Haleakala Observatory. The trajectory of this object is well-known for the next couple of centuries at least and there is no chance that it could strike our planet, so say NASA’s experts.

To explain the scale of the distances NASA’s Planetary Defense Group posted a video on Twitter using a basketball to represent the Earth and a tennis ball to represent the moon. At that scale, the two bodies would be located 25 feet apart and an object like an asteroid would be less than the size of a grain of salt.
